nib initially engaged POMT in 2018 to assist with a workplace technology strategy that would incorporate a review of the group’s productivity and collaboration platforms following the acquisition of a number of businesses. POMT completed technical reviews, user sessions and workshops before recommending a strategy to support the nib teams, business work styles, ambitions and existing investment.
Following the strategy we assisted nib with the deployment of Zoom throughout the business from a planning, configuration, migration and enablement plus adoption perspective. As part of the process POMT worked with nib to secure the Zoom environment and deliver a best practice implementation.
We also worked with nib on the design of new workplace technology standards. Physical technologies including AV, Conferencing andCollaboration, Workspace Management, Media Distribution, Peripherals andConvenience including the desktop experience and a consistent access control solution with mobile access in place of security passes.
These standards were subsequently deployed throughout new offices in Sydney and Melbourne as well as retrospective upgrades in the Newcastle HQ. POMT also assisted with the design and co-ordination for deployments in international offices.
With the success of the physical workplaces and a well regarded and heavily utilised conferencing platformPOMT undertook an engagement to deploy Workplace from Facebook as nib’s universal communication and collaboration platform. Workplace was selected fora number of reasons including ease of use and intuitiveness and these were validated when over 80% of nib staff connected via the platform within the first week of use.
POMT continues to work with nib on a number of projects and also provides on-going support via managed services.
