Zip Co is one of Australia’s leading Fintech’s providing innovative point of sale and digital payment solutions to consumers and merchants throughout Australia and around the globe.
As a fast growing and dynamic company Zip were using multiple workplace technology platforms and having a disconnected experience when they originally engaged POMT in late 2017. Our initial remit was to provide advice on their workplace technology stack helping to quickly lock in core platforms and tools to support the businesses rapid expansion. One of the key outcomes was the selection and deployment of Zoom and Slack for conferencing and collaboration. Platform selection enabled Zip to move quickly in brining everyone together from a collaboration and communication perspective which was critical as the business continued to rapidly expand in size.

While virtual platforms were being implemented Zip had outgrown their original office and were planning a move into new workspace. POMT was again engaged to assist with the design and then implementation of physical technologies including AV, Conferencing & Collaboration, Workspace Management and Media Distribution system.
While conscious of budget we worked with the Zip team to design and integrate a seamless technology experience leveraging Zoom’s ecosystem for meeting rooms, open collaboration areas including stand-ups and team breakout areas including the café / social hub and tiered bleachers / all staff event space.
Spaces and matching technology experiences were integrated with multiple purposes such as screens which double as dashboards plus Zoom presentation / conferencing locations. The objective was to maximise the return on investment and provide team members with multiple uses.
Since the original project POMT has continued to provide managed services and assisted Zip with multiple physical upgrades and expansion of their footprint. Each time we iterate the design seeking feedback, adding functionality and improving the user experience.
